9 Ships in Celebrity Cruises' Fleet Now Feature Pickleball Courts
Celebrity Cruises has recently added open-air pickleball courts to nine of its ships, catering to the growing popularity of the sport across America. Dubbed as the world's fastest-growing sport, pickleball can now be played on board the cruise ships, offering panoramic ocean views for players of all skill levels. Safety nets are in place to ensure the balls stay within the court and not on deck or the ocean.
Guests can play pickleball for leisure (subject to court availability) and participate in organized events and tournaments led by the ship's activities team. Separate times will be scheduled for adult play of 18 years and above or family play of six years and older. The cruise line provides the pickleball net, paddles, and balls, but guests are also welcome to use their own equipment.
Keith Lane, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Celebrity Cruises, expressed excitement about offering the trendy and social activity to both new and seasoned cruisers. Playing pickleball on the top deck of the ship with views of some of the world's most amazing places is a unique and thrilling experience.
The nine Celebrity Cruises' ships that now offer pickleball include two Edge Series ships - Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Solstice, and Celebrity Summit. So whether traveling solo, as a couple, or a group, guests can now enjoy playing pickleball while cruising.
