The Pickleball Club Expands with Two New Locations in Venice and Pinellas Park

The Pickleball Club has secured two new locations for its indoor pickleball facilities in Florida, bringing its total to seven. The company, which was founded in 2019, has purchased a 5.5-acre parcel of land for $2.8m in Venice, Florida for its sixth location. The site will feature a 40,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility with 14 indoor pickleball courts, as well as an outdoor activity area with two outdoor pickleball courts and two bocce ball courts. The club will also include a players’ lounge mezzanine, a restaurant and pro shop. The club is expected to open in July 2024.

Pinellas Park will be the seventh site for the firm, and will feature an 8.07-acre parcel for $1.75m located at the Gateway Centre Business Park. The Park will offer members 16 indoor pickleball courts and similar amenities to the Venice location. The land purchase is expected to be complete in December 2023, with an opening in early 2025.

The Pickleball Club’s first location will open this month in Sarasota. It will feature 12 indoor pickleball courts, an outdoor activity area, café, pro shop and players' lounge. Other locations under development include Port St. Lucie, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, and the Villages.

The company's goal is to be the leading social club focused on pickleball in Florida and to expand throughout the US. The concept aims to give members an upscale country club atmosphere to play and socialize year-round, regardless of the weather outside.

The Pickleball Club also claims to be the market leader in the development of indoor club facilities in the US, with more courts under development, more capital investment than anyone, and over 100 individual equity investors.
