Pickleball players across the Mississippi Gulf Coast prepare for American Tour Competition
Pickleball has been growing in popularity among people of all ages and players across the Mississippi Gulf Coast are preparing for the American Pickleball Tour Competition.
Michael Dunn, a 78-year-old from Biloxi, suffers from peripheral neuropathy, a weakness caused by nerve damage. Despite this, he still competes regularly and views the game as a good form of exercise for people of all ages.
According to Terry Davis, another Pickleball player, the sport is addictive and easy to learn. He also emphasized the social benefits of the game, noting that it’s a great way to meet new people and stay healthy.
Dunn plans to attend the tournament to support his fellow players and watch the game he loves, which he says incorporates elements from many other sports, including basketball and baseball.
