Skechers Becomes Official Footwear Sponsor of Pickleball Canada National Championship

Skechers has announced a new partnership with Pickleball Canada, which will see the brand become the Official Footwear Sponsor of the Pickleball Canada National Championship. The agreement begins with the current season and will help to strengthen Skechers' position in the rapidly growing sport. The partnership follows Skechers' successful sponsorship of major professional pickleball tours across the US, and its introduction of the Skechers Viper Court footwear collection, which received a positive response from athletes and fans alike.

Skechers recently signed its first two elite pickleball athletes, Tyson McGuffin and Canadian Catherine Parenteau, who compete wearing Skechers pickleball footwear and Skechers-branded apparel. The brand's pickleball collection was first introduced at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida last year, and Skechers now sponsors major tours including USA Pickleball, Major League Pickleball, the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) Tour, and the Carvana Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour. The Pickleball Canada National Championship is the latest event to be added to Skechers' roster of sponsorships.

The National Championship, which will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan in August 23-27, 2023 and hosted by Pickleball Regina, is the most significant event in Canada's pickleball calendar, with over 1,000 players competing in different categories.
