Unlikely Pickleball Duo Forms Between Grandfather and 10-Year-Old Grandson

In South Jersey, Pickleball is bringing together an unlikely pair, a 10-year-old boy named Jase Volz and his 69-year-old grandfather, John Volz. Although they may seem like an odd pair, they have been playing pickleball together for almost a year. Together, they play against family and friends and compete in tournaments. The duo has found that their age difference doesn't matter, as anyone can play together, and they communicate well on the court.

Jase Volz, who started playing pickleball when his dad invited him to play, says that he enjoys playing with his grandfather and that they make a great team.

John Volz, who has braces all over his body to keep his knees and joints in shape, doesn't let his age hold him back from playing. He says that playing with his grandson is a fun memory, win or lose, and they both love the game because they love playing together.

John and Jase have found success on the court, and they have surprised many of their opponents who see them as an easy target. The two plan to participate in more pickleball tournaments together soon.
